BASS CHALLENGE RULES 2011
1. Each Competitor must Sign a Liability Form Stating that they have Boat Liability Insurance of at least $300,000 and are Competing at Their Own
Risk.
2. Registration Fees are $20 Each Person. It covers Both "TEAMS" and "SINGLES" Series. Substitutions are Subject to the same Registration
Fees.
3. Registration Fees and Entry Fees are Due no later than 1 - WEEK Prior to Each Tournament for "TEAMS" and "SINGLES" Series. This means
"IN MY POSSESSION BY " 1-Week Prior!
For the "SINGLES" Series you must be Registered 1 - WEEK
Prior to the Tournament and then
Show up at the Tournament Landing with
Your Entry Fee and Big Bass Fee in CASH. Entrys Fees For "TEAMS" is $50 and for "SINGLES" is $25.
4. Tournament Of Champions Qualifiers. You Have To Fish in 5 of 6 Regular Season Tournaments While Using Only "1" Substitution to Qualify
for the TOC. No Subs For TOC. Regular Season "Team Of The Year Champions" will be determined by Total Weight.
5. Teams
will consist of the same 2-Members for the whole season. You can
Substitute a Team Member at any time BUT, Only 1-time to Qualify
for TOC. No fishing alone. Limit is 15 for the Teams and 15 for the Singles.
6. Baits
will be only Artificial with the Exception of Pork (Uncle Josh's, Etc),
or Berkley Gulp type Products! Preserved Baits are not allowed.
7. Length and Limit
of Bass for The Tournaments will be 6-Bass for the "TEAMS" and 4-Bass
for the "SINGLES". Minimum Length is 12". Limit can
consist of any combination of Largemouth or Smallmouth Bass except when Smallmouth season is closed in Sept. You can Only have
the Tournament Limit in your Boat. All Culling or Sorting is done at the time of Catch out on the Water. No Culling or Tagging at Landing.
8. Weigh In Procedure. Bass will be brought to the Scales in the "Transport Bag" PROVIDED. Weighmaster will place the Bass in the Tub and
when all the water is drained they will be Weighed in a Separate Bag
which will be used for All Weighing.
Tournament Director and 1-Member of
the Team will verify the Weight. The Bass will be
Placed back in the "Tranport Bag" and RELEASED. ALL Live Bass
will be RELEASED at the
TOURNAMENT LANDING. No Dead Bass will be released. No Exceptions.
9. Big Bass Weigh In Procedure. You will be given Big Bass Tags for Each Member. Decide Which Bass you want to Weigh In and TAG IT OUT
ON THE WATER. No Bass will be weighed in without this Tag on it. No DEAD BASS can be Weighed In. Biggest Bass of the Tourney Wins
Trophy even if you are not in the Voluntary Big Bass Pot.
10. Dead Bass Penalty
=.2 for the 1st Dead Bass .4 for the 2nd, .6 for the 3rd Dead
Bass and 4th Dead Bass = Disqualifacation for the "TEAMS".
For the "SINGLES" = .2 for the
1st, .4 for the 2nd and Disqualifacation for the 3rd Dead Bass.
11. Prefish Rules. Off Limits is 5:00 pm the Night Before Each Tournament. This also means that if you live on the lake or on it's
connecting waters you cannot have your boat on the water Prior to the Event during this Off-Limit Period.
12. Underwater Cameras are not allowed during Tournaments,
13. Safety.
All Minnesota Fishing, Boating Laws Must Be Followed.
Maximum Horsepower is 250. If You Receive a Ticket For Any
Reason---You
will be Automatically Disqualified.
14. Remaining On The Water.
You must remain on the water at all times during the Tournament.
Exceptions---Natures Call, Lightning, Etc. You
Can go back to the Tournament Landing
for Batterys, Gas, Clothes, Etc, as long as you notify
another contestant.
15. Showing up Late for the Tournament Start. If you are late for the start---you can still fish provided you have another contestant check your
livewell to verify it is empty of Water and Bass Before you Start fishing.
16. Fishing Waters. Any Connecting Waters to the Tournament Lake can be fished provided you do not get out of the boat to help it over or through
shallow water. Push Poles Are Allowed.
17. Courtesy.
You Must be Courteous and Respectfull to other Contestants and
Non-Contetants. Whenever you get close as to disturb another Boat
or People on a Dock, Raft or Shore---You must Come Off Of Plane And Slow To Trolling Speed. This is Especially Important on Rivers.
The only exception is if you are Waved
On By. No Anchors, No Trolling, No fishing around
Docks and Structures with People on them unless
consent is given.
18. Tournament Starts. Tournament
Competitor Start Positions will be drawn The Night Before the
Event. Last Place Drawn will be the "Starter" for
the Day. Competitors will leave One At A Time on Starters Call.
19. Livewells will be Empty at the beginning of the Tournament. Tournament Directors will Check Livewells at his Discretion.
20. Scoring is simply the Total Weight of the Limit of Bass in Pounds and Ounces. Ties for the Tournament Limit will go to the Big Bass Weight. Ties
for the Big Bass will go to the Tournament Limit. No Big Bass
weighed will score 0.00.
21. Disqualifacations. Failure to follow the Rules will result in Disqualifacation. No Alcohol During The Tournament Or While At The
Tournament Landing,
Rule Changes---Rules are subject to change or be modified at any
time! In Disputes and Interpretation---Tournament
Director Has FINAL Descision.
22. Cash Payouts, Trophys. Cash payouts will consist of 90% of the Money collected from Entrys. Trophy Plaques are provided by Sponsors.
(Providing there are Sponsors) Trophys may be Optional. Payout Matrixes will be Provided to Competitors.
23. Big Bass Pot.
Pot of $10 a TEAM or $5 a SINGLE is Voluntary. Payout is
1st-60%, 2nd-40%. Both Big Bass can come from the same boat
in
the "TEAM" Competition. The
Big Bass Trophy goes to the biggest Bass of the Tournament.
24. Tournament Hours. TEAMS are 8-hours starting at 7:00am to 3:00pm. SINGLES are 5-hours starting at 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Be at the
Tournament Landing at least 1/2 hour before the Tournament Start. It's best to be In The Water at 1/2 hour before Tourney Start. If your not
and we don't see you at the landing---We WILL Leave at 15 minutes to the Scheduled Start.
25. Late For Weigh-In.
If your Late for the Weigh-in your Disqualified. Consideration
COULD be made in case of a Break-Down, IF---Tournament
Director is Called and Arrangements are
made. But You Must Be Headed Back Towards The Tournament Landing
IMMEDIATELY After A
Breakdown. Tournament Directors Disscresion.
26. Entry Fee Returns. If you fail to show up for the Tournament you Forfiet Your Entry. Your Entry will be returned if you give 3-Days Notice. All
Entrys are subject to 10% Penalty if after Season starts.
27. Special Rule For Pokegama Little, Jay Gould No Wakes Zones. Always Stay In The Order That You Started In At The Landing. You Cannot
Pass In This Area. This Area Has A 25-30 MPH Speed Limit. Use Extreme Caution Here. Also When Going Up or Down the River, You MUST
COME DOWN OFF OF PLANE To A Troll Unless Waived By. ALWAYS Slow To A Troll For NON COMPETITORS.
28. Length Limit On Landing Net. All Landing Nets Must Not Exceed 6-Foot (72 inches) Fully Extended. No Exceptions.
29. Tournament Landing. The Landing Specified for Each Tournament is The Only Landing to be used! They will Be listed for you on the
Website in the Rules Packet you will receive!
